In this regard, Richard has championed RPAYC Youth Development Program which has trained hundreds of young people over the past 20+ years. He also provided space to and created opportunities for them to train and develop their sailing, racing and life skills. Among them now are World class athletes, Olympic medalists, World Champions, Australia Champions, Hobart winners and Women's’ Match Racing Champions.
